We’re super excited to introduce our new section: DIY SHORTS hosted by filmfestaachen in collaboration with artbewegt schrittmacher festival and cinesud – a new super short film competition for the Euregio Region, inviting any level of professionals to just create!
Selected films will be …
… screened at filmfestaachen 2026 (23-27 September 2026); filmmakers/performers are invited to the festival and receive a festival pass
… presented at the Euregio Film Forum in Heerlen (15–16 January 2027), where filmmakers can take part in the Talent Day and the FilMatch speed-dating program, connecting with producers, filmmakers, and other industry professionals, by cinesud.nl
… invited to the schrittmacher_festival (16 February–21 March 2027) young talent network program
Details for submission:
• Maximum running time: 2 minutes
• All films need to have a connection to the theme Body/Movement/Performance.
• Open to individuals and teams connected to the Euregio Region
• Submit via e-mail submission@filmfestaachen.de; deadline: 1 September (submissions are now open)
• For non-English-language films/clips: English subtitles
