Shooting was halted several times, and in 1977, the Polish authorities ordered production to stop and the existing footage to be destroyed. Yet much of the footage survived, and over a decade later, \u017bu\u0142awski completed the film using narration and other devices. It was finally presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 1988.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A feverish, hallucinatory vision of humanity\u2019s future, the film follows astronauts who establish a new civilization on a distant planet, where history slowly transforms into myth and religion becomes a tool of power. Visceral, chaotic and uncompromising, it remains one of the most iconic science-fiction films ever made.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">__________________________________________<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>On the Silver Globe<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ist f\u00fcr sich genommen ein unsterblicher Film, mit einer langen Geschichte der Kontroversen im Hintergrund. Die Dreharbeiten wurden mehrmals unterbrochen, und 1977 ordneten die polnischen Beh\u00f6rden an, die Produktion einzustellen und das vorhandene Filmmaterial zu vernichten. Doch ein gro\u00dfer Teil des Materials blieb erhalten, und mehr als ein Jahrzehnt sp\u00e4ter vollendete \u017bu\u0142awski den Film mithilfe von Voice-over und anderen filmischen Mitteln. 1988 wurde er schlie\u00dflich bei den Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Cannes pr\u00e4sentiert.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">Eine fiebrige, halluzinatorische Vision der Zukunft der Menschheit: Der Film folgt Astronauten, die auf einem fernen Planeten eine neue Zivilisation gr\u00fcnden, in der sich Geschichte langsam in Mythos verwandelt und Religion zu einem Werkzeug der Macht wird.
