The protagonist, A monkey-man, tries to save a child. Behind masks there are more, behind every door the abyss; <\/span>2551.03 \u2013 The End<\/span> is a true dystopia, Landscape made with blood and sweat \u2013 paranoia. A caricature of power. Hallways feel like Kafka wrote them, effects all hand crafted. Against totalitarianism, there is<\/span><\/span> anarchist no-budget cinema!<\/span><\/span><\/p>

In today\u2019s horror landscape, we are steadily moving away from clearly spelled-out monsters and terror. Instead, the LoFi, the blurry, Lovecraftian reversal of the \u201cShow, Don\u2019t Tell\u201d maxim emerges. <\/span>From.Beyond<\/span> documents first contact with aliens through a kaleidoscopic blend of faux archival footage, practical effects, miniatures, and old-school in-camera trickery. The film thus shapes an aesthetic we can no longer escape: an aesthetic of suggestion, of the seduction of images, media, archives \u2013 not told through a single narrative camera lens, but through the omnipresent gaze of media.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

In der heutigen Horrorlandschaft entfernen wir uns zunehmend von eindeutig<\/span> ausformulierten Monstern und Schrecken. Stattdessen tritt eine LoFi-, verschwommene, lovecraftsche Umkehrung der Maxime \u201eShow, don\u2019t tell\u201c in den Vordergrund. <\/span>From.Beyond<\/span> dokumentiert den ersten Kontakt mit Au\u00dferirdischen \u2013 nicht durch die Kameralinse, sondern durch ein kaleidoskopisches Geflecht aus gef\u00e4lschtem Archivmaterial, praktischen Effekten, Miniaturen und altmodischen In-Camera-Tricks.
