Joko Anwar\u2019s horror films have emerged from the genre\u2019s murky depths to become absolute hidden gems. Whilst his \u2018Satan\u2019s Slave\u2019 series draws on virtually every clich\u00e9, it cranks the intensity up a notch: with an unusual level of brutality and an almost encyclopaedic understanding of the subject matter, his Indonesian horror films have quite rightly become audience favourites.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #00ff00;\">In Ghost in the Cell, he blends grotesque kill-cam choreography, dark humour and suspense for the first time to create a film that changes its tone in almost every scene. Every kill outdoes the last. Yes, this film is great fun \u2013 and in the end, there\u2019s even a moral to it.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #00ff00;\">___________________________________________<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #00ff00;\">Was, wenn Gef\u00e4ngnis, aber Fluch? Jonko Anwars Horrorfilme haben sich aus dem Genresumpf heraus zu absoluten Geheimfavoriten entwickelt. Seine \u201eSatan\u2019s Slave\u201c-Reihe bedient sich dabei zwar quasi aller Klischees, dreht den Pegel jedoch hoch: In ungewohnter H\u00e4rte und mit einem beinahe enzyklop\u00e4dischen Verst\u00e4ndnis des Stoffes sind seine indonesischen Horrorperlen vollkommen zurecht zu Publikumslieblingen geworden.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #00ff00;\">In Ghost in the Cell vermischt er erstmals groteske Kill-Cam-Choreografien, bitteren Humor und Spannung zu einem Film, der beinahe mit jeder Szene seine Flugh\u00f6he \u00e4ndert. Jeder Kill \u00fcbertrifft den letzten.
