Collected here are films that not only question the viewers assumptions, but formulate a process of self-observation in the protagonists themselves. If a hellish drug-trip through the inferno, postmaternal crisis in daily life, a costume of hair, queer identity as a performance.

Der erste Block des Oecher-Wettbewerbs steht ganz im Zeichen der Selbstreflexion. Hier sind Filme versammelt, die nicht nur die Annahmen der Zuschauer hinterfragen, sondern auch einen Prozess der Selbstbeobachtung bei den Protagonisten selbst anstoßen. Sei es ein höllischer Drogentrip durch das Inferno, eine postmaternale Krise im Alltag, ein Kostüm aus Haaren oder queere Identität als Performance.
